Dear Mr. Mattes:
Thank you for taking the time to talk with me on tape Monday about the pig butchering, grain, and corn chores done on your farm. That information, along with the photographs of bundle tying, will be invaluable to our project. I'd also like to convey the thanks of the Wisconsin Humanities Committee (the state arm of the National Endowment for the Humanities), which partially funded this study.
As I mentioned Monday, the tapes and photographs will be used for interpreter training at Old World Wisconsin. A copy will also be kept at the State Historical Society Archives here in Madison for research use.
Again, thank you. I'll be in touch with you as the project progresses.
Sincerely,
Betty Kilsdonk
