Cabinet Card, Corrections, Wisconsin State Prison, Women's Prison. Sterograph of the Women's Prison, Waupun, WI. On the back of the sterograph it indicates: "Women's Prison. In Grounds of State Prison. Waupun, Wis." This photo was taken from the top of the Men's Prison. The top has been removed from the Women's prison. Near the center you can see the top of the house on Madison St. To its left you can see the top of the steple for the Congregational Church. To the left of it can be seen the steple of the Episcopal Church. As of 2011 the Episcopal Church still exists, the congregational has been moved to Beaver Dam Street. Above the house on Madison Street you can see the top of the North Ward School. This school has been torn down and a large school which has become an apartment building is there. The Women's Prison has been removed from Waupun and the area where it is located is now part of the Men's Prison.Acquisition
