Written on the back of the plate is: "The First Reformed Church of Waupun, Wisconsin, belongs to the denomination of the Reformed Church in America, which is the oldest denomination in America with an uninterrupted ministry. Regular worship services were begun on May 9, 1887, and First Church was officially organized on October 24, 1887, with forty-four members. After the formation of two daughter churches, the Emanuel Reformed Church in 1941, and the Trinity Reformed Church in 1955, First Church continues to experience the Blessing of God.
