Description

67 Old Sudbury Road, at the Damon house & North Cemetery. This house was built by William Sherman, a local farmer. The Greek Revival house passed to William and Betsey Sherman’s son, Dexter Sherman . The 1870 Census also listed Samuel H.M. and Harriet Heard and family as well as Maria Sherman who was Samuel’s mother-in-law. At some point between 1870 and 1875 this house was purchased by Isaac Coburn Damon. By 1930 Isaac C. Damon was retired from farming and lived here with two of his children: Mabel, who was a real estate agent, and Edwin who was a chemist working in research. Negative printed backward - cannot read the sign.
