The pointed section of a waistline on a dress that dips into a V or U shape at the front is called a Basque waist or Basque waistline. It is designed to elongate the torso, accentuate the waist, and create a sculpted, hour-glass silhouette. This fabric is Rose Floral Brocade or Floral Jacquard Brocade which features a tone-on-tone look, where the rose is the same color as the background but stands out due to the satin sheen. Ruched ruffles on a cap sleeve is also referred to a ruched ruffle cap sleeve or a ruffle cap sleeve with ruching. 3 rows of ruched ribbon creates volume and texture. The hangar loop inside the waist is used for securing the skirt of the gown to hangers. The additional roll of bunched or rolled fabric under the skirt's waistline is used to add volume, ease of movement or manage the fit of the gathers. The bodice is fitted, with padding and rigid boning that creates a smooth, cone-like shape. A separate band of fabric in the inside bodice front creates a pocket for bosom padding.
