Zachariah Bryant house, (Dr. Bill’s house), 10 Old Sudbury Road. Built by Zechariah Bryant, Jr. in ca. 1770.  The early nineteenth century owner was Nathan Cutler followed by Elisha Cutting. James Francis was owner, who was a farmer with about 90 acres in 1850, according to the 1856 map. James and Lucy Francis lived here through the 1850s and 1860s. He was Lydia Maria Child's brother. Asa M. Durrell lived there in 1870. By 1875 the house was known as the farmhouse of Hodijah B. Bramen, who moved it to its present location to build his new home. John M. Curtin who owned the house in the early 20 th century was one of the largest land owners in Wayland Center.
