This is a picture of the Dolittle Block at the corner of Mich Ave and Monroe in the village of Wayne. This was a typical Saturday when the forman used to come to Wayne to trade. From right to left: Web Pate the carriage painter, M. Southie who ran grocery store, Harry J Matthews the barber had shop in this building. Son of Harry Matthews took over barber shop and one day the gasoline tanks used to heat water sprung a leak and the building burned down. Hoops block built in its place.Cataloged By
