Context

1910 Edison Illuminating Co. Manhole Cover. This manhole cover is located on the Southeast corner of Biddle St and Michigan Ave West. The area just South of the location of the manhole cover on the South East corner was the Detroit Edison building which was built in 1912 and demolished in February of 1926. The photos were taken on June 2002.
