William Pettingills Mill. Built by A.C. Parsons in 1870, destroyed by fire in the 1880s. Old St. Marys Church can be seen in background. Painting done by George Estell, an African American painter that was an inmate at Eloise in the 1880s. He was born in Kentucky in 1849 and died in this area in 1898.
