Description

Embroidered coat of arms of the Pickering family worked in a variety of tones of off-white, beige, blue, and black silk floss and bullion on black silk, set on the diagonal and framed with wood under glass. The coat of arms is a blue lion rampant, wearing a crown, on a cream colored ground that is scattered with a variation of ermine tails in black; an embroidered banner below the shield reads "PICKERING. 1758."; the shield is surrounded by fantastical flowers and leaves and topped with a visored helmet.
