Description

A -Drum Major's Mace or baton. Silver metal (stainless steel?) ferrule with rubber tip, Wooden shaft with crisscrossed silver metal chains, and a silver metal crown. The Crown has slight decorative laurel motif where it attatches to shaft. The bulb has a silver lyre and laurel with a crown over it - similar to the patch on the drum major's sash (see 2013.18.036). The very top of the crown is a knob. B- Padded Carrying Case for the mace/baton made by Kolpin and most likely a gun carrying case. Tan pleather with dark tan edging and carrying handles. Zip closure. Inside is padded yellow cotton fabric. "Regimental Band of Wenham written in two places inside the case.
