A folded leather case with a flap and button closure. Inside is double flap, one of which is printed in gold with "The Boston Regalia Co: 027 Washington St., Boston, Mass." Inside the double flap is a brass(?) medal or pendant in two sections connected with two short chains. On the top section is printed, "Hamilton-Wenham, No. 297." The bottom section, which is round, is embossed with a haystack, ax and shovel and "P M, Patrons of Husbandry."
The Patrons of Husbandry medals were given to members of the Massachusetts State Grange. No. 297 was given to Fred A. Dodge and his wife, according to the "Proceedings of the 42nd Annual Session of the Massachusetts State Grange, Patrons of Husbandry, Mechanics Hall, Worcester, December 8, 9, 10, 1914.", page 1125
