Description

A transfer print comemmorative plate, blue on a white background and with an edge in gold. The rim is embossed with a design of fruits, and leaves. The picture is of the First Church in Wenham, below which is printed in blue ink: "The First Church in Wenham, Congregational, Wenham, Massachusetts." On the back side is printed, in black: "THE FIRST CHURCH IN WENHAM, CONGREGATIONAL Wenham, Massachusets" and "Gathered in 1644, for three centuries it has rendered unbroken service to this New England town. Our present........to meet the challenge of modern times." In green printing, within a wreath, is "Eggshell Theme, Hosmer Laughlin, Made in U.S.A.." below which is "E 58 N 5." At the bottom is a design in black ink with two globes, one showing North and South America; the other Europe and Africa, and with the words "World Wide Art Studios, Covington, Tenn." ...Note: This is identical to another commemorative plate, X2011.199B, except "B" is printed in green, not blue.
