HatContext
Cotabambas , Apurimac. Urban , Mestizo men wear a hat that has a much wider brim than the indian hat and is always decorated with two or three ribbons of different colors. The ends of the ribbons hang over the rear brim that is bent down and touches the nape. Photographs taken in the 1930's show peasants of Cotabamabs wearing their hats the same wat that they do today. Thus, wearing the baseball caps backwards in America may not be an original style at all.maeked like Moors that occupied Spain for 300 years.Collection
