Photograph, 8x10, showing Hourigan Home, 451 Highland Avenue. Accompanying documentation states: "Situated on the crest of a hill on the corner of Highland and Elmwood is the Hourigan Home. In 1929 W.W. Dayton commissioned the architectural firm of Otis and Fuller, Chicago, to build this 2600 square foot stone and brick English Tudor which is is situated on 2.5 wooded lots. All interior walls are of textured plaster, floors are red oak, all doors and moldings are of imported red gumwood. The main floor has arched doors with art deco keyway moldings, a four foot stone fireplace, and a library with built-in bookshelves... the 1929 red-tiled roof has been preserved."Photograph Details
