Description

Modern coal miner's helmet with interior lace-in liner. Much of the surface on this helmet is worn down.

Use

Underground coal mining. This is a "low vein" style helmet, meaning the crown clearance is closer to the head for work in low ceiling areas. Also known as a "tiger stripe" helmet, a reference to the striations in the material from the fiberglass manufacture process.
