Description

Black metal oilwick "teapot" lamp with handle. This lamp may be handmade from a tin funnel.

Use

These lamps are a larger version of the oilwick lamps that miners wore on their caps in underground mines. Sometimes known as a "driver's lamp", this size was often used by horse and mule drivers or, in some cases, mounted to the animal's tack.
