This building was once home to farm worker Jimmy Ortiz. Today, the space has been retrofitted into Whitesbog's "Bird House Nature Center," an interpretive ecology space where books, art, and history meet to celebrate the various naturalists, ecologists, ornithologists who made Whitesbog a key part of their studies and living.
