This is a document from the 1967 Buildings State Assessment done by Lebanon State Forest in 1967. This page is is for "Cottage 37." On the document, it had 31a written and then later crossed out once the buildings' number was changed.
This house is the Cranberry Research Substation, built in 1918 as one of the first Rutgers Research Substations in New Jersey where insets and injured cranberries were studied. Today, the house is used for educational events and the history of ecology on the site.
This is a Sears Catalog House; the kit was brought by train and assembled on site. The stite stopped being the Research Substation for Rutgers after 1927. The building became used as a house afterwards. Today it is used for events and Pinelands Institute educational programs.
