Summary: Over a period of ten years Dr. Frederick Coville conducted experiments to determine the effect of frost on plant dormancy. The results belied the common belief that cold weather induces dormancy while warmth restimulates growth. Coville used blueberry plants for some of his studies but did not limit himself to this one species. Both indoor and outdoor plants were included in this project.Collection
