Description

White regrets that so far she has no good kodachrome pictures. The NJ Ag. station was to have prepared a set of slides for holly lectures but it hasn't happened. Prof. Farnham spent a day at Whitesbog taking photos but the trees were not looking that good and she still doesn't have the results. He also photographed the very different root systems of two trees--useful for nursery men to know when moving trees. She says the birds do eat holly berries in the fall, preferring some varieties over others. She has had a postcard from Wheeler's son, Dick, in Alabama and is sorry she couldn't meet him when he was at Fort Dix.

Note

Wilfrid is misspelled as "Wilfred" on this typewritten copy of the original letter. This was brought to the archives' attention by Wheeler's great-granddaughter Emily Wheeler. Original letters were then found after the copy was accessioned.
