Description
Eliz. White writes that she has spent the winter at Whitesbog; thought that perhaps they couldn't stay due to oil shortage but managed. Doing a tremendous business in blueberry plants. Thinks "Clark" is best for hedge- Holly ("St. Mary") cuttings put in in Sept. have not done well. Agrees that Dix is not as close to Whitesbog as Edwards is to Wheeler's farm.
Wheeler writes that he will send Elizabeth the ad for the "Clark" hedge hollies. Has had the same kind of trouble with "St. Mary and St. Ann". Talks about his medium/conditions for rooting them. Has decided to operate farm to limit of his capacity--won't be much with only three helpers. Praises Elizabeth's article on blueberries in NY Times Garden Magazine.
