Description

On Oct. 24, Wheeler writes to thank for his (and with Mrs. Wheeler) stay at Whitesbog and describes stopping at the Boyce Thompson Institute--optimistic about holly's future. In regard to Elizabeth's work with holly, Wheeler was much impressed with the Griscom tree. The 'Griscom' found near Woodbury, NJ, by EC White and Griscom and introduced about 1930 by White.
