Description

Elizabeth says she has sent back the slides. The women of the Garden Club of America seemed to enjoy them. Dr. Pirone writes that he has sent Wheeler copies of minutes of 2 meetings of Holly Research Committee. He has also sent them Mr. Dengler, Extension Forester at U. of Maryland and Mr. O'Rourke, Glendale, MD., who is connected to USDA, whose specialty is soil erosion. Elizabeth feels that there should be a Holly Research Committee in "each holly producing state of the eastern seaboard". Asked Dr. Pirone to send minutes to Wheeler who could start one in Massachusetts.

Note

Wilfrid is misspelled as "Wilfred" on this typewritten copy of the original letter. This was brought to the archives' attention by Wheeler's great-granddaughter Emily Wheeler. Original letters were then found after the copy was accessioned.
