Wheeler writes that he is sending 2 packages of holly cuttings: "St. Mary's/St. Annes" (Wilson #2)/ "Laura Thomas"/"Edward Thomas"/"Quinn". He has also won a medal from the N.E. Wild Flower Society for his holly exhibit in Boston.
Elizabeth writes that she has changed the names of Wilson 1 & 2 to "St. Mary" and "St. Ann" and asks Wheeler to name the cuttings he sends her. Elizabeth says she has the only stock in existence of selected northern hollies. She would be happy to supply Wheeler the next spring. Looks forward to receiving more cuttings.
Wheeler writes that he looks forward to getting cutting from Elizabeth. Will send "Altaclarensis" and thanks for a present of cranberries. Elizabeth mentions "Griscom" and "Manig" as the best of the NJ hollies--also plans to send him five each of "laura", "Savage","Osa", "Clark" and Joyce. Wheeler explains choice of name "Laura Thomas".Collection
