Description

Elizabeth writes to say how much she enjoyed hunting holly on the Cape, and that she has also made a trip to Cape May Courthouse to see holly on the Davis farm. She has also been to visit the Griscom tree in Woodbury. Wheeler replies that he has been arranging for a display of hollies for fall flower show in Boston--a woodland scene. Mentions Alex Cumming and his Bristol, Conn. nursery. A lot of demand for hollies - may have to send a truck down to Whitesbog for plants.

Note

Wilfrid is misspelled as "Wilfred" on this typewritten copy of the original letter. This was brought to the archives' attention by Wheeler's great-granddaughter Emily Wheeler. Original letters were then found after the copy was accessioned.
