Sept. 30, 1933 A two-part article published in the Florists Exchange section of the Horticultural Trade World, written by P.W. Zimmerman and A.E. Hitchcock of the Bryce Thompson Institute. The article addresses locales where holly will grow, fruiting characteristics and variations in holly species. A lengthy portion is devoted to propagation by seeding and propagation from cuttings.
