Brown leather-bound Bible owned by Abigail Hussey Whittier. There is a thin blue ribbon used for bookmarking. There is a letter associated with the Bible written by Samuel T. Pickard: "This was the Bible of Whittier's mother. Her favorite Psalm was the 25th. The mark of a pin in the margin was made by her to aid in finding the Psalm when her eyesight failed. I have in Amesbury another Bible of hers marked in the same way. S. T. Pickard"
