Description
Ben Lee was an early ambassador of modern day turkey hunting and renowned for his turkey hunting and calling prowess. He developed a line of turkey calls, and this is a prototype of his Lee's Champion Slate Caller. The prototype features a pot with indentations for fingers, and the striker was the top of a Thrill brand soap bottle with a wooden dowel inserted. Green paint was appiled to the soap bottle portion. This prototype was given by Lee to his employee and Prostaffer, Tom Stuckey, for field testing.
