Ben Lee was an early ambassador of modern-day turkey hunting and was renowned for his turkey hunting and calling prowess. He developed a line of turkey calls, and this a production model of his Lee's Champion Slate Caller. It features a rectangular pot with a slate on one side and a hole to create a resonant sound chamber on the other. The striker was the top of a Thrill brand soap bottle with a wooden dowel inserted. Green paint was applied to the soap bottle portion.Collection
