Bowhunting for Turkeys was originally published in 1984 by Blue-J, Inc., with a reprint issued in 1991. For many years, this book was considered the definitive guide to archery hunting for wild turkeys. Author Jack Brobst was an earlier contributor to numerous magazines on the subject of bowhunting wild turkeys and had a regular Bowhunting Q&A column in The Turkey Hunter magazine throughout the 1980s. Working alongside Brobst on the book was Dr. David Samuel. Known to many as Doctor Dave, Samuel was an accomplished bowhunter who was inducted into the archery hall of fame in 2007. Dr. Dave taught wildlife Management at West Virginia University for 3 decades and made regular contributions to numerous publications, as well as authoring his own books. Of special note are the book's amazing illustrations. These works were contributed by well-known call maker and artist Jeff D'Agostino. Within the pages of this book, the reader will find in-depth information that, after 40 years, still applies to all aspects of pursuing the wild turkey with archery equipment.Context
