Description

Dick Kirby started Quaker Boy in 1976 and would recruit talented people to help him build and market his products. He would do custom work on calls, especially in his later years. For years he had a booth at sports shows, such as the National Wild Turkey Federation annual convention. There, Kirby was sought out by many, whether to hear or tell a story, or to purchase a call or have it signed. Pictured is one such call, purchasted in 2006 at the NWTF Convention and bearing Kirby's inscription and art. This was his "Killin' Machine" model, and this particular call was used for several years afield before being retired.
