Glenda Green's journey began in late summer of 2017. She had a gentleman contact her who had purchased some leather Pot Cases from her on eBay earlier that year. He asked if she could make a "turkey bag." Green told him that she had no idea what that was. After several months of emails, sketches, and pictures of what he carried through the woods, she came up with a design, made a prototype, and shipped it to him.
He was extremely happy with how it turned out, so after some time had passed, while she was yet trying to source some quality fabric, she was able to make him the first of what would be her Glenda Green Satchel.
After receiving it, he was thrilled with the completed Satchel and asked if he could put a picture on the Old Gobbler forum. Green had no idea what that was... but since it was his bag, she said he could do whatever he wanted with it. After several days, he emailed her and asked if he could give out her email address. He said his messages on Old Gobbler were blowing up. Green told him she had ZERO intentions of ever making a second satchel.
In April 2026, Green said, "Well, here we are, nine years later, and I am up to Satchel #2265, and I have a full line of other products in Mossy Oak Original Bottomland (BL), New Bottomland, and Greenleaf. I also make 2 sizes of Satchels: the standard and minimalist sizes. I also offer Innertube seats, gun slings, rollups, and many styles of padded cases. My twin sister, Linda, does all of my cutting so I can stay on my machine as much as possible."Create Date
