Description

Mark A. Drury was an accomplished natural voice caller, but would excel at competing on the national stage with diaphragm calls as well. After launching his call company, M.A.D. Calls with brother, Terry, diaphragm calls would figure prominently in his product portfolio. Multiple reeds were used to create more rasp to simulate mature hens, and the High Ball Double Reeded Mouth Call by M.A.D. Calls are an example. World champion caller Steve Stoltz (a fellow Missourian to Drury) would be part of the call design team. The reeds' stretch contributed to a higher-pitched tone. The call was Model 100.
