Native American Artifacts from Woodland Period (Woodland I period was 3000 BC – 1000 AD and the Woodland II period was 1000 – 1600 AD). That era has given us some good examples of wild turkey wingbones used as turkey calls. The origin of these artifacts was Missouri as detailed in the note pictured.
