Description

Perfection Turkey Calls was co-founded by Virginians Jim Clay and Tom Duvall in the early 1970s. Clay was a high school English instructor and Duvall a high school Woodworking and Industrial Arts teacher. Their timing coincided with the restoration of the wild turkey, and Perfection would be one of the new "modern turkey call companies" riding that wave. Some calls, like diaphragms, were made in-house and others were outsourced. "The Master Series" of diaphragms featured multiple reeds with cuts or splits for more skilled users to produce raspy calls or cutting. This Master's Cutter was a four-reed call with a notched reed for cutting. The Master's Series was released with a classy green ad backing, which matched the green reeds made from the new RX-1 material designed by Mike Battey. Several companies used RX-1, which always came in a signature green color.
