Perfection Turkey Calls Screamin' DemonEntry/Object ID
PTC005A0006Description
Perfection Turkey Calls catered to turkey hunters with calls of all styles, including friction calls. One style of friction call, dating back to at least the late 1800s, is the peg and slate call. An instrument called a peg, or "striker," is used to strike (scrape) across a conditioned (most often sanded) surface, such as slate or glass set into a "pot." This method produces a turkey-like vocalization. The Screamin' Demon was a popular pot call, and featured a wood pot with a glass (we believe) surface and a two-piece wood striker. Grooving at the top of the striker head often provided a point for attaching a lanyard, connecting the striker to the call.Collection
