Name/Title
Pittman Game Calls Preston's Black Diamond Diaphragm Turkey Call
Entry/Object ID
PTC009A0001
Description
Like many of his contemporaries, Preston Pittman was a champion turkey caller who built a career in the outdoors. His line of game calls included several diaphragm calls, perhaps the best-known being Preston's Black Diamond. Originally, the reeds for this call were made from RX-1 latex designed by Mike Battey, which was available only in green. That green latex was recognized instantly by turkey hunters of the time, and Pittman would stick with that color even as the latex supplier changed. This four-reed call was designed in a diamond cut to create rasp and create more complex turkey vocalizations. It is model PP208.
