Description

Rick Harro is the founder and owner of Gobbler Getter Turkey Calls, a custom call company he started over 25 years ago. At 62 years old as of March 2026, Rick has spent most of his life living in Pennsylvania, where he operates his call-making shop in Enola, PA — the place where the magic happens. Before becoming widely known in the turkey call world, Rick spent much of his life in construction and owned a remodeling company for several years. While working with his hands has always been second nature to him, his greatest passions have been fishing and crafting turkey calls. He is also an accomplished bow maker. Rick did not have a single mentor or inspiration in call making — it was simply something he felt led to pursue. He believes his ability to build calls is a gift from God, and that belief drives the care and dedication he puts into every piece he creates. Rick builds a wide range of custom turkey calls, including: Box calls Pot calls Scratch boxes Trumpets Two distinct styles of tongue calls Over the years, his craftsmanship has earned him numerous awards and first-place finishes at prestigious competitions including: Grand Nationals Southeastern Call Makers Competition Pennsylvania Classic Midwestern Call Makers Competition One of Rick’s signature designs is the Deadly Double pot call, a double-sided call he created more than 20 years ago. This innovative design has helped harvest birds across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Rick’s original tongue call earned a First Place win at the Grand Nationals. He later designed a second model known as the Frypan Tongue Call, continuing his tradition of innovation and performance-driven craftsmanship. Every Gobbler Getter call is handmade with attention to detail, sound quality, and the passion of a lifelong outdoorsman.
