Slate and Peg with Carrying BoxEntry/Object ID
CTC001A0005Description
Many folk art calls were fashioned after calls turkey hunters saw and either could not afford or could not easily obtain. The M.L. Lynch Jet Slate has been a much-copied and proven design. The call pictured is of such a style, and the carrying case with a sliding lid appears to be made of a cheese box or something similar. Cheese or cigar boxes are found in vintage turkey calls as they were materials affordable and accessible to turkey hunters.Collection
