Description
Callmakers often learn from one another, adapting styles to suit their own artistic and practical needs. Ray Chisholm is credited with the first trough calls we can identify, and used an aluminum strip as the calling surface. Ben Lee would later popularize that with his Super Hen calls with an aluminum or slate strip. George "Fritz" Fleisher would work to make a trough that was more compact for carrying, and that would launch as the Sweet Talker trough call for Penn's Woods. The model No. 7550 Sweet Talker also featured an aluminum strip.
