The Literature of Turkey Hunting by Jim Casada was published by High Country Press in 2011. First edition copies were sold in a limited run of 750 signed and numbered copies, all edges gilt, with a ribbon marker and slipcase. Jim Spencer provides a foreword to the book. Casada, a 2007 NWTF Communicator of the Year award winner, is also a decorated author and professor of 25 years at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC has compiled a comprehensive bibliography of the turkey-hunting literature up to the time of publication. Along with the detailed bibliography, the reader will find information and tips on beginning their own journey into collecting literature on this grand bird. The reader will find chapters on hunting books, scientific books and pamphlets, ephemera, magazines and annuals, as well as a chapter dedicated completely to the writings of the Poet Laureate of turkey hunting, Tom Kelly.
