Description

William R. Fishburne (1878-1953) of South Carolina made calls from 1905 until 1953, when he was struck by a car and died of his injuries. They are incredibly well constructed, with a slate striker that slides into a slot in the side of the call. Especially desirable are his "calligraphy calls,: adorned with the artistic writing of his friend Carl Metz.
