Description

In the 1960s and 1970s, when turkey call innovation was in full swing with the restoration of the wild turkey, diaphragm (or "Mouth") calls were made of different metals and woods. In the Roanoke area of North Carolina, strips of carnival balloons were fitted to wooden frames with prongs to secure them, and carved dogwood was used in the Raleigh, North Carolina area.
