Stoneware pitcher with straight neck with built in spout which is a slight pour lip and added handle. On bowl of pitcher just below neck is shell design alternating with arrow pointing down. Gray salt glaze inside and out.

History from original donor said it was made by a woman who came to Missouri in a covered wagon. This was a popular style in the 1860’s. Shape and glaze came from Pennsylvania.
