Provenance

Notes

Listed in 1895 Montgomery Ward Reproduction Catalog priced $4 to $1.25. Ice was to go in base. Research showed butter sat on a plate over the ice then covered with lid to keep butter from becoming too soft. Some forms the lid slid up the handle & was fastened open.
