Description

Made of heavy metal. Flat base is corrugated along the top which lines up with curved corrugated upper piece where a handle is fastened which rolls over the base. Space at one end to use stove lid lifter to more.

Context

Internet research said manufactured by W.H. Howell of cast iron. 1897 Sears Roebuck & Co. reproduction catalog listing at .80 cents. 1895 Montgomery Ward & Co. Reproduction catalog has metal base and rocker at .80 cents.
