Prof Richard H Bull of N Y having called to order, Rev Mr Turner of Hopewell church opened the exercises by prayer. The minutes of 1872 having been read, Victor M Drake Esq. made a brief introductory speech. Letters were read from Hon A. C. Niven of Sullivan & from T. S. Jackson Esq. - The former declining the invitation to be present & deliver the annual address on account of lameness. The latter excusing his absence on account of low health, depressed spirits, & his obligations to attend the National Temperance meeting at Saratoga. Dinner being then in order. Replete baskets of provisions were emptied & the hungry multitude began to satisfy itself. The Goshen Cornet Band
