Scope and Content
(AI) Reflective Roasting Oven
Sitting right on the hearth floor beneath the crane is a tin "Dutch" kitchen or tin reflector oven. It’s an open-backed cylindrical drum. You would place meat on a spit inside it and face the open side toward the roaring fire. The highly polished tin interior reflected the heat to roast the meat evenly on all sides
