My dear Friend
When Milton was here he met
David Booth who said he wanted $200 of the
money Milton had, but after he left Milton told
me I could not depend upon his taking it if
he could get it any were else at a less interest.
I thought I would write to you asking it as a
favor if you would let me know if there was
any danger of my depending upon David
as I have opportunitys enough of putting
it out here and would not like to be depri-
ved of the chance on any uncertainty - I did
not like to write to David about it, but
thought you might ascertain about it
in conversation with him and let me know
in time to put it out if he did not want
it - Susan wishes you to ask Betsey for her
recipe for Corn Bread - our friends are all
well around here as also my family and
hope you may be enjoying the same blessing
Your friend
Ann Purdy
